STS

Think globally. Act locally. Do it personally.

Innovation is the way to go when we talk about sustainability. STS Pack Holding is dedicated to implementing innovative sustainable ideas while staying responsive to current and future market needs.
01

Innovation

Innovation is a key part of achieving sustainability goals. It can come in the form of product or process innovation. Innovations accelerate and even revolutionize environmental sustainability initiatives.

We are aiming to achieve zero waste and to support our transition we have started by achieving a more realistic goal – waste minimization. We have implemented a 3D innovation in our manufacturing facilities. By the integration of a specialized 3D printer, we have started to utilize and re-use some of our waste by processing it into granules and using it to 3D print special parts for the manufacturing machines and other products for STEM training, exterior and interior design and parts for automation.

02

Pollution
prevention

Pollution prevention refers to reducing or eliminating waste at the source. Goals such as waste and carbon footprint reduction ultimately support a much broader objective of pollution prevention.

We at STS Pack Holding have modified our production process to emit less waste or emissions by raising staff awareness and engagement. We train our personnel to perform quick machine adjustments in order to waste less raw materials and less energy during the changeover.

03

Waste
minimization

Waste minimization refers to the use of source reduction and/or environmentally sound recycling methods prior to energy recovery, treatment, or disposal of wastes.

We are committed to develop and offer high quality recyclable or reusable packaging. Our goal is to increase the popularity of recycled materials and drive the utilization of more recycled packaging around the world. We offer our clients the option to choose the use of less raw materials in their packaging as thinner foil, less plastic material in caps and shoulders.

04

Responsible
consumption

Responsible consumption means using our resources and energy efficiently. Responsibility lies in the hands of everyone – manufacturers, distributors, retailers, and consumers.

Those are some of the examples which we apply when following our goal for responsible consumption: encouraging public transport or riding a bike to work; optimizing logistics to minimize fuel consumption; less packaging in our products; reducing landscape water use; engaging employees to be more conscientious; using energy efficient light bulbs; reducing scrap material during production.

05

SDG’s
compliance

The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, provides a shared blueprint for peace and prosperity for people and the planet, now and into the future. There are 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which are an urgent call for action by all countries – developed and developing – in a global partnership. They recognize that ending poverty and other deprivations must go hand-in-hand with strategies that improve health and education, reduce inequality, and spur economic growth – all while tackling climate change and working to preserve our oceans and forests.*

By aligning our business strategy with the SDGs, we can turn global challenges into business opportunities while contributing to a better world. The SDGs provide a strategic framework for our business to track performance, set goals, and communicate with various stakeholders.
